In the cover of the night, Oakland police brutalized UNARMED protesters with TEAR GAS, RUBBER BULLETS, FLASH GRENADES and MORE. Many injuries reported and multitudes of arrests. Please call and demand that the state of CA and Oakland treat protesters with dignity!!!
In solidarity with OccupyOakland Base Camp, today should be observed as a day of Resistance! Five hundred police descended at 4 A.M. on unarmed Occupiers, tear gassing and raining rubber bullets down on them! Many have been injured in this gross display of violence by the police!
As a human being and lover of freedom for ALL, walk out of your jobs for the day, cease being a part of the machine that enables this senseless violence against fellow people who are airing their grievances peacefully. Strike for a day, and Occupy your local square, courthouse, where ever! Without a strong popular condemnation of these acts, we are paving the way for similar show downs in other cities! If you can't give one day for actually standing up for everyone else's rights as well as your own, you'll lose so much more!
Stand up to the violence! An injury to one is an injury to all! Share this message and invite others to the cause!

In solidarity with those in Maine: OccupyMaine Press Release - Lincoln Park Campers Attacked Early Sunday morning, around 4am, the members of the Occupy Maine camp at Lincoln Park woke up to a loud explosion. Witnesses who were awake said a car driving by slowed down, and lobbed an IED over the fence. Within a few seconds, it exploded. The blast reportedly lifted a table about a foot off the ground. The table generally requires 2 people to li...ft and move. The target was the center of camp where the overnight security team was. One witness said this type of bomb could have caused a lot more damage if certain things were added and a lot of campers are fearful of another attack.
Thankfully no one was injured last night but police investigators were on scene for 2 hours to identify the chemicals used and to try to find out who is responsible. The suspect car is said to be a Silver 4-Door Sedan from the late 80s-mid 90s and possibly a Toyota or Nissan and if you have any more information, you are encouraged to contact:

Citizens have organized an event to move all funds from banks and put them into credit unions on November 5th, 2011. Organizers are calling the event"Bank Transfer Day" and are encouraging people nationwide to participate November 5.
The Facebook page for the event states the following:
"Together we can ensure that these banking institutions will ALWAYS remember the 5th of November!! If the 99% removes our funds from the major banking institutions on or by this date, we will send a clear message and give the 1% a taste of the fear that we experience every day when we aren't able to pay for our rent, food, medication, utilities, student loans, etc."
So far over 60,500 people have RSVP'ed for the event.
The participants of "Bank Transfer Day" take issue with the response of big banks' to the Durbin Amendment, which is an addition to the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that caps the debit interchange fees banks can charge merchants.
The organizers claim the banks will begin to charge their customers $3-$5 fees to off-set the money they will lose because of the interchange fee cap.

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.
As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.
To the people of the world,
We, the St. Joseph General Assembly occupying Civic Center Park behind City Hall, urge you to assert your power.
Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.
To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy we offer support.
Join us and make your voices heard!

For an incredibly long time, too long, Americans have put up with mistreatment from corporations who's only interest is profit and inequality is the trade-off of our participation in giving them our money, time and lives!
Worse yet, Banks and Corporations have usurped our governement by putting our elected officials in their pockets with bribes and other promises or even threats! It is time to stand up together and let it be unmistakably clear we will no longer tolerate this vile corrupt system of irresponsible monetary and fiscal slavery over the American People.
